Our Home from 1978 - 2002

The house is located atop the first hills that overlook San Juan, the capitol of Puerto Rico. This 10,000 square foot house is located on approximately six acres with views of the Atlantic Ocean, San Juan and as far east as the 4,000 foot El Yunque rain forest. While being in the country, the property is only 15-20 minutes from downtown San Juan and the International airport.

It was built in 1968 by blasting out of natural rock a solid foundation stretching 300 feet across the hilltop. between 1988 and 1998 the home underwent considerable additions and dramatic changes. Every room has a view and much of the natural rock forms part of the interior of the house. It has four bedrooms in the main house with two more in an adjacent guest house. A second floor was added and marble floors were put in everywhere. In addition, much of the open areas were enclosed and air conditioned. The open architecture provides plenty of entertainment areas including a whirlpool and a swimming pool. The garden area is home to geese and peafowl as well as banana, orange, lemon and grapefruit trees.
