Some of our family relatives
My father, Andrew Mouravieff-Apostol-Korobyine, born
in 1913 lived in Geneva, Switzerland with his wife, Ellen (nee Rothschild and
born in 1923 in Brazil) until his death in August 2001. She had a son by a
previous marriage, Roger Wright, adding another step-brother to my immediate
family. Roger, born in 1950, and his entire immediate family was killed in a
plane accident in Brazil in May 2010. Ellen lives on in Geneva, Switzerland near
her second son, my half brother, Christopher and his growing family.
My uncle, Alexis (Dick) Apostol was born in 1915 and
had lived with his wife, Ellen (nee Gauthier) in Tourettes-sur-Loup, a small
mountain village in the Provence area of France until his death in July, 2000.
Ellen died in 1999.
My wife's father, born in 1911, retired for many years in Diamondhead, Mississippi had lived in New Orleans, Louisiana until his death in August, 2004. His wife, Barbara (nee Treadwell) died in 1988. He is seen here at age 83 with his daughter (my wife) Jean.
My mother, Mary Hall Caine, remarried in 1958 to Howard Courtney Burr Jr. This added another step-brother to my chain of relatives. On the occasion of my step-father's 80th birthday on October 22, 1991, there was a gathering of family in New Canaan, Connecticut. In addition to his family, there were my brother, Michael, and his family as well as the remaining Hall Caine family members - Derek, Maggie and Melissa - then living in New York. Howard Courtney died in April 1994 and Maggie passed away in February of 2002. My mother died on 11 December 2003 and Derek passed away in early 2004. Peg Burr was the ex-wife of Howard Courtney Burr Jr.'s brother, George Burr, and she died in 1998. Courtney Burr III still lives in Los Angeles where he is an accomplished Actor, Writer, Producer, Director and Hollywood personality best known for his work with Sal Mineo and Rock Hudson among others. Michael and Mary's son, Peter, who was born on July 3, 1991, was not present. A graveside ceremony was held in June 2004 for Mary, Derek and Maggie who were laid to rest in a family plot in Westport, Ct.

My half brother, Christopher, was born in Brazil to my father and his second wife, Ellen (nee Rothschild). Chris is a banker based in Geneva and works principally with eastern European clientele. He and his wife, Coralline (nee Turretini) had a daughter, Tatiana in 2002 and two sons, Dimitri and Bernard in 2010 and now live in Bursinel, Switzerland.

Roger Wright, son of my father's second wife, Ellen, was my step-brother and lived in Brazil. He was an accomplished yachtsman and successful financier. He sadly died in 2010 in an aircraft crash together with his second wife, son and daughter and their children. Incredibly, his first wife had been killed many years before in another aircraft accident.
